Social Action
Social action, social justice and tikkun olam (healing the world) are important values of the modern Reform movement and a focus at Temple Emanuel.
Some of the ongoing activities that the Social Action Committee of Temple Emanuel has launched include:- High Holy Days Food Drive
- Soup Kitchen Volunteers
- Habitat for Humanity
- Mitzvah Fair
- Delegation to Leon, Nicaragua through the New Haven/Leon Sister City Project

Over the course of the year, we will inform the congregation about upcoming projects in which you can get involved.
Members can keep informed about issues of social concern by subscribing online to the newsletter of the Religious Action Committee (RAC) of the Union for Reform Judaism.
